As far as I know, Christians worship God and Jesus, not trees, lights, fat guys in red and drunken office parties. I think possibly that you equate a holiday tradition to a religion as even atheists have Christmas tress and exchange gifts as do many Muslims, Jews and Hindus and, put the lights up. Are they also in your face as well or is it just the Christian people who do this and, how do you tell the difference between a Christian Christmas tree and an Jewish/Muslim/Hindu/Chinese/atheist one? |

I suspect that it is something self inflicted like how he complains about Fox News talk show hosts yet listens to them to no end.

I think libs like to stay mad and complaining. They don't like Fox, yet they keep watching it. They always have to find something that they hate then stay around it complaining about it.

actually it was novelite who brought up the idea of winter solstice, and that current christian traditions were born from that. Apparently i'm the only one who has to cite my facts, while you just vomit whatever it is you want because nobody calls you on it. It wasnt even my point. it was novalites.

please stop distorting what i say. You continuously state that I'm sort of upset person when I'm the happiest-go-lucky person here. its classic projection. Just because i disagree with a monopolized politcal forum and state my opinion doesnt make me angry. Its hilarious because all you have to do is read thru these threads to see how frustrated and angry you righty's are...but you turn around and blame your mean-spiritedness on me when I'm just stating an opinion. i could care less what you think, or how many personal attacks y'all can muster towards me. It really doesnt affect me...but of course you'll go right ahead and completely mischaracterize the intent of my comments and blame me for your own discombobulated lives.

If anything, I see more of a trend away from Christianity in holidays. Merry Christmas gave way to Merry Xmas, then Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings. That's what you see in the papers, in stores and on TV. Santa Claus is no more a Christian symbol than the Easter Bunny is. They're commercial symbols and allow non-Christians to celebrate the (now)non-religious holidays. It's about spending money and giving gifts... As for religious symbols, if I put a manger scene in my front yard I guarantee you someone will be offended and demand I take it down. But when the TV channel wishes everyone a special Kwanzaa, Ramadan or shows a Menorah they're being sensitive to their cultures...
